Seoul boy group KNK states its K-pop credentials in its namesake; KNK stands for K-pop Knock. Each of KNK’s five individual members – Park Seoham, Jeong Inseong, Kim Jihun, Oh Heejun and Lee Dongwon – took a similar path to musical fame, appearing and dancing in music videos for girl group and labelmates, Bestie. After signing to YNB entertainment and carrying out a number of performances on reality show My Keunakeun Television and at the 2015 SBS Awards Festival (SAF), during which they rolled out two tracks, the group made its debut proper in February 2016. It marked its arrival with debut single “Knock” in March 2016, the same month as making its debut on a television music show, The Show. The R&B-flavoured single “I Remember” came that same year along with debut and second EPs, Awake and Remain. 2017 saw the release of singles “Gravity” and “U / Back Again” in 2017. Original sixth member Youjin left the group in September 2018. After releasing a handful of tracks over the next year, in September 2020 KNK dropped its KNK Airline EP.
