The US rapper known as Knoc-turn'al was born Royal Harbour in Long Beach, California in 1975. He remains an enigmatic figure in the US hip-hop scene, having never truly broken into the mainstream market and yet being well known within hip-hop and rap circles due to frequently appearing as a featured artist with other performers. These other performers include Nate Dogg, Suga Free, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Mack 10 and many more. His own career as a solo artist can be traced back to the early 1990s when he would appear with Gary Zee using the stage name Nature-Boy. After re-inventing himself as Knoc-turn'al he released his debut single 'The Knock' in 2004 followed by the album 'The Way I Am' in 2004. Both records made it into the US charts with the single reaching number 13 in the rap charts and the album peaking at number 17 in the R&B charts. Despite showing such early promise, Harbour has struggled to make an impact on the US charts as a solo artist and his main successes have been as featured performer.
