Kumar Vishu

Best known for his work in Hindi devotional movies and television, Vishu Bhatnagar is an award winning playback and bhajans singer / musician better known by his stage name Kumar Vishu. Born in Delhi, India, he creates music that blends the traditional elements that influenced him in his youth with modern beats and production. While most of his work has been in the Hindi language, he has also recorded in other languages including Rajasthani and Punjabi. Kumar Vishu has become one of the most popular devotional singers in India, singing on over 200 recordings over the course of his career. His albums include Radhe Radhe Shyam Bolo (2001), Aartiyan (2004), Bolo Ambe Ambe (2008), Bhakt Aur Bhagwaan (2014), Sach Hai Sai (2016), Kanhaiya Kya Kishori Se Kehna Padega (2018), Shyam Bade Gyani Shyam Bade Dani (2020), and Bhar De Re Shyam Jholi Bhar De (2023). Kumar Vishu’s many popular devotional songs include “Krishna Ki Leela Shyam Rangila” (2006), “Ganesh Aarti” (2009), “Barse Amrit Dhaar” (2016), “Apne Yaar Ko Man Mohan To” (2022), “Ram Vivah” (2023), “Ram Chaupai” (2023), and “Bhaye Pragat Kripala (Ram Lala Aarti)” (2024). He is the recipient of many awards including the President’s Award, the Cinema Century Award, and more.
