Kwak Jin Eon (October 23, 1991) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, mostly known for winning the sixth season of music reality show Superstar K. Hailing from South Korea’s capital of Seoul, Kwak Jin Eon has released several well-received singles and contributed to numerous film soundtracks. An all-around performer, his music could be described as a fine blend of K-Pop, R&B, soul, and folk. In 2014, he became a contestant on Superstar K6, where he had the chance to showcase his talents in front of a national audience. Kwak Jin Eon ended up making it to the finals, where after a heated battle with singer Kim Feel he was crowned the winner of the contest. “Boast,” the live performance that earned him the grand prize, was later released as a single in 2014. This considerably expanded his fanbase and led to a recording contract with the label Music Farm, who released his studio debut Go With Me in 2016. In the following years, Kwak Jin Eon further advanced his music career with the singles “A Walk Together” (2018), “Freely” (2018), and “Your Shape” (2019), and featured on the soundtracks of the films Circle (2017), My Mister (2018), When the Weather Is Fine (2020), and Taxidriver (2021).
