With hits like "La Danse du balai", "La Queue leu leu" and, of course, "La Chenille", the Bande à Basile is probably THE best-known French popular song group of the late 20th century. With their high spirits and good humor, the group's songs are a must at village fêtes and weddings. More than three decades after their formation, the Bande à Basile continues, despite its disappearance from the audiovisual landscape, to make carpets and brooms dance at many a popular ball.
