Sophie Fustec, known as La Chica, is a French-Venezuelan singer, songwriter and author. Born in Paris in 1981, she grew up in the Belleville district of Paris, and began her musical training by learning to play the piano, before going on to study sound engineering. She temporarily joined the group 3SomeSisters before going solo in 2015. inspired by hip-hop, street-art and electro, she created an arty pop universe. A first track takes shape, "Oasis", which testifies to a mix of genres. This first experience then led to the recording of an EP, also named Oasis, in 2017. Two years later, she took another creative step forward with the release of her first studio album, Cambio, featuring tracks sung mainly in Spanish and less frequently in English. In 2020, she followed this up with a second, conceptual album, La Loba, on which she deliberately chose to restrict her means of expression: all the songs rely solely on a piano (which she sometimes uses percussively) and her voice. Two years later, she transformed this intimate experience by remixing the album in an electro style. The project is called La Loba Remixes .
