L'Attirail lives up to its name: a veritable crossroads for living music, the collective formed in 1994 by Xavier Demerliac and Jean-Stéphane Brosse is a champion of music from Eastern Europe and the Americas, North and South. From Musiques des Préfectures Autonomes (1996) to Dancings du Bout du Monde (1997), L'Attirail takes its Cinéma Ambulant (1999) to La Bonne Aventure (2004) and on to Wilderness (2009) and Wanted Men (2011). His label, Les Chantiers Sonores, lives up to its name.
