Laura Tesoro

Born in Antwerp, Belgium, on August 19, 1996, Laura Tesoro made her media debut in 2008, at the tender age of 12, as an actress in a Flemish crime series. Keenly interested in music, she also appeared in the following years in the cast of several musicals, including Annie in 2008 and Domino in 2012. In 2014, she took part in the third season of the Dutch TV talent show The Voice, where she lost in the final. This was the turning point for the young singer, who decided to devote herself entirely to her musical career. She released her first single, "Outta Here", soon followed by "Funky Love". Although she formed a duet with Jo Hens and the group Level Six, it was on her own that she defended Belgium's colors at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016, with "What's the Pressure", a track co-written by Selah Sue, Louis Favre and Peter Gordeno, a musician who accompanies the band Depeche Mode on stage. Laura Tesoro came tenth in the competition at the final in Stockholm.
