Laurel

Laurel Arnell-Cullen (May 7, 1994), simply known as Laurel, is a British indie pop singer-songwriter. Hailing from Southampton, she started off writing, recording, and producing her first batch of songs from the comfort of her own bedroom. In 2013, she posted a demo version of the track “Next Time,” which quickly gained attention from tastemaker blogs and specialized media outlets. That same year, Laurel released the single “Fire Breather” through her personal streaming channel. Her debut EP, To the Hills, arrived in 2014 and so did the EP Holy Water. Following the release of the mixtape Allelopathy (2015), which featured FKA Twigs on one of the tracks, she signed with Counter Records, a subsidiary of Ninja Tune, and dropped her third EP Park in 2016. Preceded by the singles “Life Worth Living,” “Lovesick,” “Same Mistakes,” “Crave,” and “Adored,” her highly-anticipated studio debut Dogviolet saw the light in 2018 to great critical acclaim. Two years later, Laurel returned with the Petrol Bloom EP, which spawned the singles “Scream Drive Faster” and “Best I Ever Had.”
