Striking the right balance between techno and house is no easy task, and one that many have struggled to achieve. The partnership between Layo Paskin (DJ, entrepreneur) and Matthew Benjamin (DJ) aka Bushwacka! manages to walk a fine line between the two genres. It's no surprise that these two figures of the night are co-owners of The End club in London, while the other is its resident DJ. Night Works in 2002, with the single "Love Story", represents the dou's work well. Unfortunately, Layo & Bushwacka! turned to a much more mainstream Latino house style on Feels Closer in 2006.
