Leathers

Leathers are a Canadian darkwave group from Vancouver known for their haunting melodies and atmospheric soundscapes. Fronted by singer Shannon Hemmett with music steered by producer Jason Corbett, the band blend elements of synth-pop, post-punk, and industrial music, creating a distinct sound that resonates with fans of the darker side of electronic music. Their lyrical themes often explore introspection, love, and the complexities of the human experience, all wrapped in moody, immersive production. Leathers launched their career in 2021 with the debut EP Reckless and continue to make their mark on the modern darkwave/synthpop landscape with singles such as "Runaway" (2022) and the Highrise and Fascination EPs (2023). The band released their debut LP Ultraviolet in 2024.
