Lee Jin-hyuk is a South Korean singer, rapper, and actor. He was born Lee Sung-joon on June 8, 1996, in Seongbuk District, Seoul. He started his career in the spotlight in 2015 when he debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band UP10TION under the stage name Wei. The group's first mini-album, Top Secret, was released along with the debut single "So, Dangerous" in 2015. In 2019, Lee Jin-hyuk gained more recognition by participating in the television show Produce X 101, where he finished 14th. This exposure led to his solo debut in 2019, with the extended play S.O.L, featuring the lead track "I Like That." Building on his solo career, Lee Jin-hyuk released his second EP Splash! in 2020, which included the single "Bedlam." The same year, he made his acting debut in the drama Find Me in Your Memory, earning a nomination for Best New Actor at the MBC Drama Awards. He continued to expand his acting repertoire with roles in various dramas, including Dear. M in 2021. 2021 also saw the release of his third EP Scene26, as well as his fourth, Ctrl+V. In 2022, he joined the Weverse platform and released his fifth EP 5ight. He also participated in the drama Why Her that year. Shortly afterward, he announced his departure from UP10TION and TOP Media, signing with Bill Entertainment in March. He released the extended play New Quest: Jungle in April 2024 under his new label, reaching number 10 on the Korean charts.
