When Lee Walker's bedroom studio re-edit of the Chicago house music classic club hit Freak Like Me went viral with over a million YouTube hits, the track received enthusiastic support from mainstream BBC Radio1 DJs Annie Mac and Pete Tong. Afterwards it was only a matter of time before Middleborough-born Walker was commissioned to to do an official version and the track was released by the Defected label. Walker started out his career as a DJ after acquiring a set of decks at the tender age of 14 and cut his teeth in the burgeoning rave scene prevalent in his native North East. Whilst studying music technology at Middlesborough College Walker became interested in house music and very soon began mixing and producing for labels such as Kushtee Records and Dancelab Recordings. Soon he was hosting his own FM radio show with fellow producer and friend Chris Howson. With bookings at The Zoo in Ibiza, London's Studio 388 and Manchester's famous Sankeys Club, Walker firmly established himself as one of the UK's premier up-and-coming DJs.
