Lexy & K-Paul

Lexy & K-Paul is an electronic dance music DJ duo from Berlin, consisting of Alexander Gerlach (born January 14, 1976 in Dresden) and Kai Michael Paul (born November 5, 1973 in Berlin). The project was founded in 1999 and their debut album Loud was released in 2000 on the Low Spirit label, reaching number 100 in the German album charts. The single "Freak" establishes itself as a club hit and climbs to number 20 in the German singles charts. In 2001, Lexy & K-Paul are awarded the Echo in the category "Best National Newcomer Dance Act". In the same year, Alexander Gerlach appears together with Mark Spoon in the film be.angeled. Further successful singles such as "Love Me Babe" (2004) and "Let's Play" (2002) follow. In 2007, they founded their own label MusicIsMusic, which is distributed by Kontor Records. Their releases there include the DJ mix compilations Komisch Elektronisch (2008) and Komisch Elektronisch Part 2 (2012). Their studio album Psycho reached number 48 in the German album charts in 2011. This was followed by Attacke (2013, position 51) and Gassenhauer - Rework 1999-2005 (2015, position 92). In addition to their joint work, both members pursue solo projects: Alexander Gerlach is active under the name Niconé, while Kai Michael Paul forms the duo Fuchs & Horn.
