Freestyle and electro singer Lina Santiago was born on September 5, 1978 in Los Angeles, California. Santiago is best-known for her dance hit “Feels So Good (Show Me Your Love)”, which reached Number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart and Number 6 on the Billboard Dance Singles chart. Her singing career started when she began performing with her father’s band. She formed a singing group with friends in 1995. Later that year, she entered a karaoke contest and won first place, which inspired her to pursue singing as a career. Santiago met DJ Juanito, owner of Groove Nation Records and a popular L.A. club DJ. He recorded and produced “Feels So Good (Show Me Your Love”, Santiago’s first single, in under five hours. The song became an immediate hit in the L.A. area and beyond, leading to her signing with Universal Records. At the age of 17, Santiago’s debut album, Feel So Good, was released in August 1996. The album was ballad-heavy, which was a completely different direction than the title track, which hurt sales and the album didn’t sell as well as expected. Santiago was dropped by Universal before a second album could be recorded. She withdrew from the record business, resurfacing on two tracks by Moneloco in 2007 and a single released in 2017 featuring Randy Taylor-Weber.
