An Irish folk singer born in 1981, Lisa Hannigan collaborated with Damien Rice in the early 2000s on his two albums O and 9, then launched a career in her own right with a critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize-nominated debut album: Sea Sew, released in 2008, was certified double gold. Festival appearances further boosted her profile the following year. The second album, Passenger, produced by Joe Henry, is released in 2011. After two years devoted to touring, Lisa Hannigan returned to songwriting for At Swim, co-produced with Aaron Dessner (The National), released in 2016. The author, composer and performer has often collaborated with cinema, through her songs or her voice.
