Widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the "timbaton" genre—a hybrid between reggaeton and traditional Cuban timba—Los 4 is a Latin urban ensemble from Havana, Cuba. Formed in early 2009, the group has had a revolving door of musicians among its ranks, with rapper Jorge Junior and Damián as the only constant members throughout their career. After bursting onto the scene with hit singles such as "Igualito," "Señorita Intelectual," and "Motorola," Los 4 dropped their studio debut Escucha lo Que Traje in 2010. Over the next few years, Jorge Junior and company toured relentlessly throughout the United States and Europe in support of the album and continued to solidify their reputation as one of Cuba's finest musical exports on releases like El Arca (2011), Felicítame (2011), Lo Mio Es Pa' Rato (2012), and El Maltrato (2013). Released in 2016, their sixth studio album Privilegio featured some of the group's biggest hits, including "Ámame una Vez Más" and "Cuando Acaba el Placer," as well as guest appearances by Mayco D'Alma, Tania Pantoja, Dairan, and La Diosa. This success was followed by the release of Así Somos later that year. Despite a series of lineup changes in the following years, Los 4's recording schedule remained as busy as ever, expanding their catalog with the albums Simplemente lo Mejor (2016), Con la Izquierda (2019), El Grande (2020), En un Mismo Pensamiento (2021), and 2.45 (2022).
