Los Telez

Los Telez is a Mexican cumbia group formed in Puebla in 1997, known for blending traditional cumbia rhythms with a modern pop twist, a style they call "cumbia-pop poblana." Founded by brothers Alí, Yonker, and Iván, the group initially performed under the name Grupo Pasión before rebranding in 2003. Their breakthrough came with "Gritaría," a hit that propelled them beyond their hometown and onto the national stage. With their fourth album, Yo soy tu maestro, they expanded internationally, landing at number 15 on the Billboard Latin charts and performing in the U.S., Argentina, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. Over the years, they continued releasing successful albums like Interminable Amor and Para Siempre, featuring fan favorites such as "Obsesión," "Inténtalo tú," and "Así te amo." Their discography includes Ojos Negros, Atrévete, and Hecho en Puebla, solidifying their place as one of Mexico’s most beloved cumbia acts. Despite setbacks, including a tragic accident in 2023, Los Telez remain a staple in the genre, captivating audiences with their energetic performances and heartfelt lyrics.
