A true blues chameleon, able to capture the style of Muddy Waters, Elmore James or Lightnin' Hopkins with fidelity, Louisiana Red is a profound bluesman whose troubled personality often passes through his music. The longevity of his career remains astonishing, having recorded as a teenager for Chess, before enjoying major commercial success with the hilarious Red's Dream in 1962. Today, he lives in Germany and performs at European festivals.
