British indie-folk auteur Lucy Rose Parton was born on 20 June 1989 in Camberley, Surrey, England and kicked off her career in 2012 with debut album Like I Used To, released via Columbia Records. Her sophomore effort Work It Out fared even better in the charts, reaching number nine in 2015 and she moved to Communion Music for her third LP, Something's Changing (2017). She continued to expand her sound across follow-up albums No Words Left (2019) and the jazz-flecked This Ain't the Way You Go Out, which explored themes related to healing following her diagnosis of pregnancy-associated osteoporosis. The LP landed in April 2024.
