Luis Figueroa

Luis Figueroa, born on September 18, 1989, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a Puerto Rican-American singer-songwriter renowned for his contributions to Latin pop and tropical music, especially salsa. Growing up in a Puerto Rican household, he was captivated by music early on, learning guitar, drums, and piano. After attending Berklee College of Music and gaining exposure on shows like American Idol and Star Search, Luis Figueroa’s breakthrough came through YouTube, where his rendition of "Flor Pálida" caught Marc Anthony's attention, leading to a contract with Anthony’s Magnus Media. Touring with Romeo Santos on the Golden Tour, he gained visibility and acclaim, receiving a Premios Juventud award for performing with Marc Anthony. In 2022, his self-titled salsa album Luis Figueroa delivered three Billboard Tropical Airplay Top 10 hits and earned him Latin Grammy nominations, establishing him as a new force in salsa. Following the success of Voy A Ti in 2023, which reached number 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay with “Bandido,” he continued evolving the genre with his latest album, Coexistencia (2024), blending urban and rock elements and earning further Grammy nominations, solidifying his place as a transformative figure in modern tropical music.
