Machine Head is a metal band from the USA that was founded in 1991. Together with bands such as Pantera and Fear Factory, the band led by singer and guitarist Robb Flynn are among the representatives of neo-trash. machine Head's debut album Burn My Eyes was released in 1994. The energetic album produced the future classics "Davidian" and "Old". The success of the album brought the band a European tour as support act for Slayer. With The More Things Change... (1997) and The Burning Red (1999), two more successful albums by the metallers followed. The 2000s not only brought personnel changes. Machine Head also released more complex songs musically. The change in style first became clear on the album The Blackening in 2007. The fans rewarded this. In Germany, the album climbed to number 12 and also reached number 16 in the UK. With the follow-up Unto the Locust, Machine Head made it into the top 10 of the German album charts in 2011 at number 5. Machine Head's biggest chart success to date came in 2018 with the album Carthasis. The album climbed to number 3 in Germany and reached number 12 in the UK. Machine Head's ninth studio album is released in 2022. Of Kingdom and Crown reaches number 6 in the album charts in Germany.
