Maika Loubté

Born on 23 October 1989 in Japan to a French father and Japanese mother, electronic producer, singer, and composer Maika Loubté was raised in Paris, Tokyo, and Hong Kong and was first drawn to music while in junior high school. After graduating, she formed the pop duo EA with guitarist Shinya Saito in 2009, making music under the moniker of Maika Leboutet. The pair released their first mini album METEO in 2012 before announcing their hiatus. Two years later, she launched her solo career as Maika Loubté with the 100 album. Le Zip arrived in 2016, and Closer followed in 2019. After firing off a string of singles in 2020, including "System," which was co-produced with Ryan Hemsworth, she dropped new album Lucid Dreaming in 2021, which featured "System," along with the AAAMYYY-featuring "It's So Natural." Lucid Dreaming: The Remixes and Lucid Dreaming: Synthesized Symphony followed in 2022. Trippy dance-pop single "Ice Age" emerged in 2023.
