A French singer, songwriter and actor, he rose to fame in 1984 with the song "Pour une biguine avec toi", followed by the unstoppable slow song "Elle a les yeux revolver" in 1985, which reached No. 4 in the French charts. Both songs appeared on her first album of the same name in 1985, which featured two more hits, "Le Parking des anges" (no. 11) and "Bascule avec moi" (no. 14). These include "Le Monde est tellement con" (No. 20), "Qu'est-ce que t'es belle" with Catherine Ringer (No. 31), "Rue Fontaine" (No. 11), "Une Nuit sur son épaule" with Véronique Sanson (No. 34) and "Toi, mon amour" (No. 8), as well as "J'ai tout oublié", with Cristina Marocco, which earned him his only No. 1 in 2001. At the same time, he pursued a career as an actor, with roles in successful films such as Marc Esposito's Le Cœur des hommes ( 2003) and Élie Chouraqui's Celle que j'aime (2009). In 2022, he released his thirteenth studio album, Adulte Jamais, which reached No. 5 on its French release. In 2024, he revisited his repertoire on Revolver, an album with symphonic accompaniment, featuring contributions from Catherine Ringer, Souad Massi, Speech Debelle and Fabrice Aboulker.
