Marcos Valle is one of the great names in Brazilian bossa nova and pop. The Rio de Janeiro native made his debut in 1963, and achieved international success with the classic "Samba de Verão " in 1964. Now known as " So Nice (Summer Samba)" in its English-language version, the song has been covered many times. Marcos Valle went on to release a series of albums featuring a blend of Brazilian music, rock, soul and jazz. Samba '68'(1968), Garra (1971), and Previsão do Tempo (1973) bear witness to this period. After an exile in the United States during the military dictatorship in Brazil, Marcos Valle returned to the country at the end of 1980.
