Although involved in zouk, Marvin has no Caribbean ancestry, his mother being from Brittany and his father from Côte d'Ivoire. Born in Lorient (Morbihan), he gravitated towards zouk and Haitian kompa, in addition to soul and R&B, where he excelled. In 2006, Marvin released his first album, Corps et Âmes, and embarked on his first tour of the French West Indies. In 2013, he raised his profile in mainland France with Mon Univers, featuring Tanya St. Val, Mokobé and Matt Houston. The following year, Marvin released the album By Marvin and the song "Ma Vie sans toi", a duet with Haitian singer Phylissia Ross. In 2016, he added another studio album to his repertoire, Mes Couleurs, featuring "Dans ma life" a new duet with a singer who hits the bull's eye with her sensuality, with Nesly.
