Matt Simons

Matt Simons is a Californian singer-songwriter based in New York who writes heartfelt songs mainly centred on romantic relationships. Coming from a musical background, his grandparents were opera singers in Los Angeles and as a child he was trained in classical and jazz. His first album was the 2012 self-release 'Pieces'. His emotive songs found a dedicated audience in the Netherlands where he toured and appeared as a guest judge on 'X-Factor' and his single 'With You' later became a theme song on a Netherlands TV soap opera. His second album 'Catch and Release' was written over the course of just three weeks in 2015. The title single was a hit around the world earning platinum and gold discs in several countries. In 2018 he released the single 'We Can Do Better' before collaborating with singer-songwriter Amy Kuney aka Ames on the empowering track 'Amy's Song' which reflects on Amy's own experiences and sexuality. The tracks feature on Matt's third studio album 'After the Landslide' which arrived in 2019.
