The daughter of Hollywood actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, American actress, model, and singer-songwriter Maya Hawke (July 8, 1998) was practically born into the spotlight. A New York City native, she began modeling for Vogue during the 2010s and later made her acting debut in 2017 as Jo March in the BBC miniseries adaptation of Little Women. In 2019, she jumped to fame as Robin Buckley in the third season of the Netflix sci-fi horror series Stranger Things, followed by an appearance in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. With a style heavily influenced by folk heroes like Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Leonard Cohen, she kickstarted her music career later that year with the singles "To Love a Boy" and "Stay Open," written and recorded with songwriter Jesse Harris. Originally scheduled for release in June 2020, her first studio album Blush finally saw the light in August 2020 and garnered favorable reviews. Preceded by the single "Thérèse," a second LP titled Moss arrived in 2022.
