Canadian performer Maylee Todd is the product of an artistically-creative family, her mother is a visual artist with a penchant for quirky unconventional design and her father is an Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Neil Diamond impersonator. Meanwhile her grandfather was an escape artist who went by the name of The Great Toddini, a family connection reflected in the title of Todd's third album 'Escapology' released in 2013 which sold particularly well in the Japanese market. Todd's musically style is primarily R&B, but has experimented with other genres and elements of indie, soul and electronic music can be detected in her work. Her live work is defined by a flair for comedy and the visual arts and this has won the artist much praise and critical acclaim for her concerts. Her performing talents have won respect from many of her peers and she has shared the stage with many top Canadian and international artists such as Janelle MonĂ¡e, Esthero, Aloe Blacc, Thundercat, Charles Bradley, and The Budos Band. Her most significant chart success to date came with the release of the single 'Baby's Got It' in 2012 which reached number ten in the Japanese charts.
