MC Miker G. & DJ Sven were a Dutch hip-hop duo who rose to fame in 1986 with their chart-topping single "Holiday Rap." Rapper Lucien "MC Miker G." Witteveen and DJ Sven van Veen met at a disco in Hilversum and quickly headed to the studio to record their debut single aided by producer Ben Liebrand. The result of those recording sessions was "Holiday Rap," a remix of Madonna's "Holiday" featuring additional rap verses that reached Number 1 in countries like the Netherlands, France, Germany, and Switzerland. The pair repeated the formula on their follow-up single "Celebration Rap," which riffed off Kool & the Gang's hit "Celebration." Although not as successful as their previous single, "Celebration Rap" still made it into the Top 10 in several countries. Following an extensive European tour, the group released their final single "And the Bite Goes On" in 1988. In subsequent years, DJ Sven appeared on the Channel Five show Now That's Embarrassing: The 80s and MC Miker G. started his own rap project named Lions Den.
