Actress and director Mélanie Laurent quickly climbed the ladder of success thanks to her performances in Quentin Tarantino's films De battre mon coeur s'est arrêté (2005), Je vais bien ne t'en fais pas (César for Best Actress in 2007) and Inglorious Basterds (2009).
