Mentissa

Born in Denderleeuw in Flemish Belgium on April 4, 1999, Mentissa Aziza was drawn to dancing and singing from an early age. In 2014, at the age of fifteen, she was a contestant on Belgium's The Voice Kids, which she won in the 1st season. After this experience, she entered the Dutch edition of The Voice of Holland in 2019, but failed to reach the semi-finals. She then tried her luck in France, in the 10th season of The Voice, in 2020, where she was selected during the blind auditions and noticed for her interpretation of Dua Lipa's song "New Rules". Noticed by the four jurors, she chose Vianney to accompany her and write her first song, "Et bam", which was released on the Tôt ou Tard label and reached number 49 in France and 43 later in Belgium. After two further singles, "Balance" and "Attendez-moi", her debut album La Vingtaine, released in November 2022, reached no. 46 in the French SNEP chart.
