Mickael Carreira is a Portuguese pop singer and songwriter. He is the eldest son of singer Tony Carreira and is the brother of David Carreira, while his younger sister Sara Carreira was also a singer and public figure before her death in a car accident. Raised in France before moving to Portugal at age 15, he began writing songs in his teens and had early musical training in piano and guitar, including instruction from his father. His debut album Mickael (2006) achieved major commercial success and was certified triple platinum, launching a highly active touring career. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with international artists such as Anggun, Enrique Iglesias, and Sebastián Yatra, and released notable work including Viver A Vida (2012) and Instinto (2016). He has also served as a coach on The Voice Portugal and The Voice Generations, further establishing his presence in Portuguese popular music.
