Mike Viola, a versatile producer, musician, and songwriter, gained prominence through collaborations with Panic! at the Disco, Andrew Bird, and Ryan Adams, alongside his own solo work. He first led the cult-favorite band Candy Butchers before releasing eight critically acclaimed solo albums. Viola’s music has appeared in films like That Thing You Do! and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. From 2019, he released standout albums The American Egypt, Godmuffin, and Paul McCarthy. His 2024 record, Rock of Boston, was created with Jake Sinclair and Brendon Urie, inspired by Viola’s experiences on tour with Panic! at the Disco.
