Minami Kitasono, born on January 12, 1990, in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, is a Japanese singer-songwriter, composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. Known for his refined pop sensibilities and detailed musical craftsmanship, he began her career in the early 2010s and has since developed a distinct sound that blends retro influences with modern arrangements. He released his debut album promenade in 2014, followed by lumiere in 2015 and Never Let Me Go later that same year. Kitasono also released a vinyl-only holiday record titled "Hisan na Christmas" in December 2015, showcasing his flair for seasonal, conceptual projects. After several years of relative quiet in terms of album releases, Minami Kitasono returned with his long-awaited studio album Meridian on March 19, 2025.
