Miracle Musical

Miracle Musical is a project created by American musician and producer Joe Hawley in the early 2010s. Born in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, on September 23, 1982, Joe Robert Hawley formed the indie rock band Tally Hall in 2002, where he was lead singer and guitarist, notably on the albums Marvin Marvelous Mechanical Museum (2005) and Good & Evil (2011). In 2012, he embarked on a new psychedelic electro project called Miracle Musical (ミラクルミュージカル), with the self-produced single "Variations on a Cloud", immediately followed by the album Hawaii: Part II, demonstrating all his skills as a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, aided by producers Ross Federman, Bora Karaca and a host of musicians or singers, as well as conductor and arranger Joachim Horsley. The original album, released in September 2012, was followed in 2014 by another version, Hawaii: Part II: Part ii, available only in physical format and featuring demos and previously unreleased material. Released in 2014, the single "Candle in the Water" is a cover of a track from the 1977 cartoon Pete's Dragon. The following year, Miracle Musical delivered the Hawaii Partii EP, consisting of remixes processed in 8-bit format, in the purest chiptune style of video games. Joe Hawley then pursues a solo career under his own name, and continues to front the band Tally Hall.
