Tarik Ali Mishlawi, known as rapper Mishlawi, was born in Arizona on September 25, 1996. He moved to Cascais on the Portuguese Riviera as a teenager, before upping sticks to London to attend the city's Point Blank Music School. Flying the flag for Portuguese homegrown hip-hop, Mishlawi first picked up steam for his 2014 song "Street Jargon Freestyle". After crossing paths with Portuguese reggae artist Richie Campbell, who signed him to Bridgetown Records, a string of singles came to light, including 2016’s popular Latin-spiced “All Night”, which sampled jazz pianist Chick Corea, and 2016’s "Boohoo", featuring Campbell. A self-titled debut EP arrived in 2018 and a second EP, Solitaire, followed in 2019. 2019 also saw the release of single “Audemars” featuring Nasty C.
