Molly Sandén

Molly Sandén is a Swedish pop singer who participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006, where she finished third, and later competed in her homeland's Melodifestivalen contest in 2009, 2012 and 2016. She was born in Huddinge on July 3, 1992, and released her debut album, Samma Himmel, in 2009. The album peaked at number 19 in Sweden. Three years later, Molly Sandén topped the charts with her follow-up release, Unchained, which featured the platinum-certified single "Why Am I Crying." The 2015 EP Like No One's Watching produced another platinum hit, "Freak," and she remained at the forefront of her country's dance-pop scene with subsequent releases like 2018's Större and 2019's Det bästa kanske inte hänt än. One year after providing vocals for Rachel McAdams' songs in the 2020 comedy film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, she returned to the number 1 position on the Swedish charts with her fifth studio record, Dom Ska Veta. She went on to release a further slew of singles, including "Vi:et i vinsten" in 2022 and "Hålla mig"—which went to number 11 in Sweden—and "Slutet av sommarn," in 2024, which went to number six.
