Monday Kiz is the stage name of singer Lee Jin-sung, a name carried forward from the boy band he performed with. In its incarnation as a group, Monday Kiz first came together in 2005 as a duo consisting of Lee and Im Min-soo. They released their first album, 'Bye Bye Bye', that year, following up with the EP 'Incompletion' in 2006 and the albums 'El Condor Pasa' in 2007 and 'Inside Story' in 2008. In 2008, however, Im Min-soo was killed in a motorbike accident, aged 23. Following the accident Monday Kiz was put on hold, but after a hiatus it reformed with two new members, Han Seung-hee and Im Han-byeol, and in 2010 released the album 'ru:t;'. The EPs 'Memories Cantare' (2011); 'The Ballad' (2011) and 'Healing Activity' (2012) as well as the 2013 album 'Unfinished' followed, but in 2014 the group disbanded. Lee Jin-sung took up the name Monday Kiz for his solo career, however. He released a string of singles starting with his 2014 solo debut 'Two Words to Kill', achieving modest chart success. In 2016 he released his appropriately titled first solo album, 'Reboot', peaking at number 21 in the Korean chart.
