Monika Christodoulou is a Greek singer from Athens. Singer, guitarist and saxophonist in small local bands, she asserted her artistic personality in 2008 with the release of her first solo album, Avatar . This collection of pop songs, influenced by the sound of PJ Harvey, Jeff Buckley and The Beatles, received an excellent critical and commercial reception in Greece. In 2010, Monika releases the album Exit, crowned by a sold-out concert at the Lycabettus Theatre in Athens. For her third album Secret In The Dark (2014), the singer enlists the services of producer Homer Steinweiss and the musicians of the Daptone Records label, Sharon Jones' famous The Dap-Kings, who accompanied Amy Whinehouse on her album Back to Black (2007). The single " Secret In The Dark", taken from the album, revealed the artist in France in 2015.
