Mononkul

A Japanese duo formed in Tokyo in 2011 by singer/songwriter Sara Yoshida and musician/composer Ryuta Tsunoda, Mononkul practice sophisticated jazz pop with polished lyrics. As early as 2013, the duo made their mark with an album released on Airplane Records, 飛ぶものたち、歌うものたち、這うものたち(Flyfolks, Crawlfolks, Singfolks), followed in 2014 by 南へ(South Bound), released on the Taboo label. Winner of a Japan Disc Award the same year, Mononkul performed at the Fuji Rock Festival and the Jazz Summit Festival in Tokyo in 2015, before the 2017 release of世界はここにしかないって上手に言って(Say Well That the World Is Only Here), followed by Reloading City (2018).
