Born on December 10, 1994 in Floyd, Virginia, Morgan Wade made a splash in 2021 with her debut album Reckless, a Top 40 success that positioned her somewhere between country-rock and Americana. Morgan Wade had grown up listening to the bluegrass of her Appalachian homeland and began penning songs during her freshman year of college. Inspired by a breakup , she recorded her first album, Puppets with My Heart, which was credited to The Stepbrothers and self-released in 2018. With the help of Sadler Vaden, Jason Isbell's guitar player, and producer Paul Ebersold, she began putting together another full-length album, Reckless, which was released via Thirty Tigers in 2021. The album became a mainstream country hit, thanks in large part to the gold-certified single "Wilder Days," which reached number 29 on the Country Airplay chart. A deluxe version of Reckless was released in January 2022 by Arista Nashville, effectively turning Wade into a major-label country artist. She soon left the label and signed with RCA Nashville for the release of 2023's Psychopath, which hit number 45 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. Obsessed followed in 2024, preceded by the single "2AM in London."
