Filipino singer and actress Morissette Amon is better known by her stage name Morissette. She made her first appearance as a singer on TV5's 'Star Factor', where she was runner up aged only 14. She has a remarkable vocal range which has been likened to that of Mariah Carey. As an actress, her stage debut was in 2012 in the Disney show 'Camp Rock' with Repertory Philippines. In 2013, she took part in 'Voice of the Philippines' and in 2014 enjoyed her first chart success with 'Akin Ka Na Lang' which reached number eleven in The Philippines Hot Top 20. This single was from the album 'Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2014' with songs from the show 'Himig Handog' which Morissette took part in that year. In 2015, Morissette released her self-titled debut album. The album was a combination of her own songs and cover versions, and the single 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now', a duet with Daniel Padilla, reached number 19 in the Philippines Singles Chart. Also released in 2015 from this album were 'Di Mapaliwanag' and 'Throwback', featuring KZ Tandigan. Morissette became the first Filipino to have her own V-Live Channel, and in both 2017 and 2018 represented her country in the 14th and 15th Asia Song Festival. In 2019, Morissette recorded her version of the song 'A Whole New World' from Disney's Aladdin with fellow Filipino singer Darren Espanto.
