Mostly Autumn are a renowned English rock band formed in 1995, known for their blend of progressive rock, folk, and symphonic elements. Based in York, North Yorkshire, England, the band was originally led by guitarist and songwriter Bryan Josh, and their early music was heavily influenced by the progressive rock scene, with notable comparisons to bands like Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, and early Genesis. However, it was their collaborations with vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Heather Findlay, who joined in the late 1990s, that helped shape their unique sound and gave the band an ethereal quality. Mostly Autumn's discography spans numerous albums, starting with their 1998 debut For All We Shared... to their more recent works like White Rainbow (2019), and Graveyard Star (2021). Despite lineup changes over the years, including Heather Findlay's departure in 2010 and the continued leadership of Bryan Josh, the band has remained a mainstay in the progressive rock scene. In 2025, they released new album Seawater, which features Troy Donockley as a guest on uilleann pipes and low whistle.
