Mr. Oizo, alias Quentin Dupieux (b. 1974), a virtuoso craftsman of blends between image and sound, took the techno world by surprise with his mega-hit "Flat Beat " in 1999. The international success of the man with the mascot (christened Flat Eric) enabled him to realize other desires in the field of cinema: under his own name, Quentin Dupieux directed several feature films for which he composed the music. A jack-of-all-trades in electro, the Frenchman diversifies his activities between numerous remix requests for Air, Cassius, Scissor Sisters, Calvin Harris, and the production of video clips (Sébastien Tellier's "Ritournelle" ). Mr. Oizo's third album, Lambs Anger (2008), confirmed his status as a respected musician. Its successor, Stade 2 (2011), is also a model of creativity. In 2012, Quentin Dupieux signed the soundtrack to his film Wrong with the group Tahiti Boy. Mr. Oizo's fifth album, The Church (2015), was recorded at the same time as the film Réalité. In 2016, he revived the Flat Eric puppet in a video game and released the album All Wet.
