Singer, songwriter, and producer Murat Dalkılıç was born Sırrı Murat Dalkılıç in Izmir, Turkey on August 7, 1983. Apart from his music career, he’s also an actor and film director and producer. Originally interested in sports, he began to study piano at the age of 15. He then set aside his interest in entertainment when he began a professional career in basketball at the age of 17. He also pursued an acting career, studying Cinema-Television at Bilgi University. After several years of successfully learning the ropes in the film and TV business, he returned to music and released his debut single, “Kasaba,” in 2008. The single became a hit and hit number 1 on the Turkish airplay chart and was followed later that year by the Kasaba EP. Murat Dalkılıç released his debut album, Merhaba (2010), which included the hit singles “La Fontaine,” “Kıyamadım İkimize," and “Merhaba Merhaba.” His second album, 2012’s Bir Güzellik Yap, included the number 1 singles "Lüzumsuz Savaş" and the title track. He continued to release successful albums – Daha Derine (2014), Toz Duman (2014) and Epik (2016) – and several Top 10 singles and fan favorites like “Leyla” (2016) before hitting the number 1 spot again with the 2017 non-album single "Aşinayız" featuring Oğuzhan Koç. Murat Dalkılıç issued his fifth studio album, Afeta, in 2019 followed by a series of non-album singles including “Yerin Dibi” (2021), “CHE” (2022), and “Can” featuring Feride Hilal Akın.
