My Darkest Days are a Canadian rock band who formed in Norwood, Ontario in 2005. After the group were discovered by Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger, he signed them to his record label and the band enjoyed a brief and relatively successful recording career. Their debut single for the label was 'Porn Star Dancing' which the band released in 2010 and is the track which came to define their sound. The song features Kroeger as well as Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wilde and its catchy hook coupled with the lavishly produced video which accompanied its release helped project the track to the top of Billboard's US Mainstream Rock chart. The band's self-titled debut album reached number nine in the US Alternative Rock charts in 2010 as did the follow-up album 'Sick and Twisted Affair' which came out two years later. The following year lead singer Matt Walst joined his brother's band Three Days Grace, filling in for their recently departed frontman Adam Gontier. This move eventually signalled the end for My Darkest Days as other members busied themselves with side projects of their own and the band's career effectively ended in 2013.
