Michael David Quattlebaum, born on April 2, 1986, is an elusive artist who blends disciplines to great effect. Poet, writer, rocker, rapper and prominent lesbian, gay, homosexual and transgender (LGBT) rights activist, he uses art as a megaphone to promote queer culture. Under the pseudonym Mykki Blanco, he pursued a career in rap, beginning with three EPs and as many mixtapes. In 2015, he brought together the productions of his Dogfood Music label for the compilation Mykki Blanco Presents C-ORE, produced with Yves Tumour, Psychoegyptian and Violence. The following year saw the release of his first solo album, Mykki, with Woodkid collaborating on production.
