N I K O

N I K O, real name Nicolas Bullot, is a West Indian artist born in September 1989 in Trinité, Martinique. His father was a sound engineer for artists such as Kassav' and Taxi Kreol, while his mother was a member of the group Son La Ho. Influenced by the sounds of zouk, Gwo Ka, dancehall and reggae, N I K O wrote his first songs at the age of 14. He scored his first hit in 2011 with the track"EDF Riddim". In 2013, he founded the APK collective alongside Sorrow and MT, followed by a few tracks that got him noticed, such as"K.I.L.L.". He pursued his career as an individual with"Fix Dem" or "Sex time", won a prize at the Hits Lokal Awards, made collaborations ("Tell Me Who" feat Maureen,"Loaded" with Mafio House and Lijay ), but also over time became the ghostwriter for several artists on the Caribbean scene.
