Nacho is the stage name of Miguel Ignacio Mendoza Donatti, a Venezuelan pop vocalist who has enjoyed chart-topping success both as a solo artist and as a member of the duo Chino & Nacho. He was born on August 22, 1983, in Lechería, Venezuela, and raised in the city of Maracaibo. While in his early 20s, he briefly performed with the Venezuelan boy band Calle Ciega, whose lineup also featured Jesus "Chino" Miranda. The two musicians appeared on the group's 2005 release, Una Vez Más, then left the lineup in 2007 to form their own reggaeton duo. As Chino & Nacho, the duo released a platinum-certified debut album, Época de Reyes, in 2008, scoring a Number 1 hit in Venezuela with the record's first single, "Vagabundo de Amor." "Mi Niña Bonita," the title track from China & Nacho's Latin Grammy-winning sophomore album, became a chart-topping hit on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs, Billboard's Tropical Airplay, and the Venezuelan charts in 2010, and the group scored additional Number 1 hits on the Tropical Airplay chart with 2012's "Bebé Bonita" and "Regalame Un Muack," 2013's "Chica Ideal," 2014's "Te Me Quemas," and 2015's "Me Voy Enamorando." When the group embarked upon a multi-year hiatus in 2017, Nacho continued releasing new material was a solo artist, scoring a diamond-certified hit with his first single, "Báilame," later that same year. The song was included in his 2018 solo debut album, La Criatura, along with the platinum-certified hits "Kung Fu," "Casualidad," and "No Te Vas." A second album, UNO, was released in 2019, featuring the gold-selling single "Déjalo." While maintaining his momentum as a solo artist with the 2020 EP De vuelta a casa and the 2021 EP Historias del Caribe, he also reunited with his former bandmate for a new Chino & Nacho album, Chino & Nacho is Back, which appeared during the summer of 2021.
